Polls

Single-choice or multi-choice surveys, with optional auto-close and result-visibility controls.

Where it lives

Dashboard: Engagement → Polls. Slash command: /ppoll.

Slash commands

• /ppoll create — guided creation of a new poll (question, options, duration, channel, multi-choice, max choices, show-results timing, ping)
• /ppoll close <id> — close early + reveal results
• /ppoll cancel <id> — cancel without revealing

Settings per poll

• Question — the prompt.
• Options — comma-separated list. 2–10 options typically.
• Duration — auto-close after.
• Channel — where to post.
• Multi-choice — voters can pick multiple options.
• Max choices — when multi-choice, cap per voter.
• Show results — live / after_close / staff_only.
• Ping — optional @here or @everyone on publish.

Anti-duplicate voting

Phantom tracks votes per-voter so a member can't double-vote by clicking twice.

Tips

• Live results drive engagement but bias votes (people see what's winning).
• After-close results keep the poll neutral.
• Staff-only results are for internal questions where the answer should stay private.

Permissions

Requires engagement.edit to create / close / cancel. Voting is open to all members.
